Flat Selection #2 – NOT Anchorvale Horizon!

by Steven Liew

in My Life

Haha! By God’s grace I actually received an email from HDB just 15 hours before my flat selection for Anchorvale Horizon! Now seriously… THANK GOD WE HAD SUCH A BAD BALLOT RESULTS!!!!!

Nothing else comes this close!

Punggol Topaz
We refer to your application to buy a 5-Room flat at Punggol Topaz in the December 2010 Build-To-Order Exercise.

We have conducted the ballot and your queue position to select a flat is 62. We will provide you with the flat selection details such as the flat list and brochure when we invite you to select a flat in Feb / Mar 2011 .

We wish to take this opportunity to highlight an important point to you. If you are a first-timer applicant and you reject two chances to select a flat in Build-To-Order/Balloting/Sale of Balance Flats exercises, your first-timer status in the balloting will be removed for a one-year period when you participate in any subsequent HDB sale exercises.

You can find out more information on the treatment for first-timer applicants from our website at www.hdb.gov.sg (New Flat (e-Sales)/Eligibility/First-Timer Applicants/treatment for first-timer applicant).

As this is a system generated mail, please do not reply to this mail. You can view the Frequently Asked Questions on Build-To-Order (BTO) Exercise (After Release of Ballot Results) for more information. If you have further queries, please email us at hdbsales@hdb.gov.sg.

62!!!!!!!!!!!!! *SCREAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

Hi, are you first time buyer? as you have already got a queue number for Anchorvale Horizon, wondering HDB reset your number of chances to 2 for your Punggol Topaz BTO? or the number of chances increased by 1 as normal?

Steven Liew February 4, 2011 at 1:10 am

Hi Calvin. Yes I am a first time buyer. As far as I know, HDB does NOT reset your number of chances to 2 as you are already deemed ‘selected’ for the ballot. The number of chances does not increase until you have missed out (exceeded 300%) 2 selections for non-matured estates. You can refer to this webpage from HDB for more information: http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10321p.nsf/w/BuyingNewFlatFT?OpenDocument

Thanks Steven, I am a bit confused, my queue number for Punggol Topaz 5 rooms flat is 3xx, this is the 5th attempts, I may be invited for flat selection but I don’t feel like to book any unit lower than 4th or 5th level. I would rather go for the next BTO in Feb, in this case my Punggol Topaz is considered “selected” ? wondering how many chances (by right should be 5+1) I would be assigned if I have not been invited for flat selection by the closing date of Feb BTO application, likely at early March.

Yes, if you are invited to book your flat and you do not show up, then you are forfeiting one chance for selection. If you forfeit for the second time, then you will lose your first-time privilege for a year.

As for your chances, actually if I am not mistaken, your Punggol Topaz application being 5th attempt would be 4 times (3 additional + 1 initial). Your chances for your next application will not be affected if you are selected for Punggol Topaz (it’s considered as giving up, rather than an unsuccessful attempt). Likewise, if you are not selected for Punggol Topaz, then it should be 5 times (4 additional + 1 initial).

best free mmorpg February 23, 2011 at 5:23 am

can any person help out me?
I need an absolutely free Mmo who has a lot of gamers and they (properly most) can speak English. It’s essential that the particular servers have a lot of players. I am seeking out something such as Diablo and Wow. I am also not willing to give any cash as I simply have some time to kill right now. It is ok if the particular game is free along with premium content. I have looked a lot for MMORPGs but probably none from the websites definitely say simply how much players tend to be on-line.
thanks much

Hi, was wondering if anyone new the chances of your ethnic quota being reached before your appointment date for the flat selection excercise.

I have received an invitation for Punggol Topaz however there are only 11 flats left and my appointment is 7 April!

I won’t get my hopes of if chances to actually attend the appointment is unlikely. I have heard that some people actual get an sms saying that the ethnic quota has been reached and they do not need to come down right before their appointment date.

Thank you for any advice that you may have

Hi SV. I think you can go to the HDB website and check the available flats left. At the same website, you can also check the available ethnic quota.
